About Us

Banbridge Tennis Club is a friendly, welcoming club which has been in existence since 1898. In 2017 we moved from our old club location at King George V playing fields to our brand new site at Banbridge Leisure Centre in the centre of town. The courts are a sand filled astro-turf with an excellent facilities building attached, great for social events. We have a full coaching programme for every age and ability in both our Junior and Senior classes. Check out the coaching section for more details. On top of that the club plays in the B&D leagues as well as having internal club tournaments and events.

Leagues

We usually field a number of teams for the B&D leagues which often features men’s, ladies and mixed doubles as well as the men’s singles league. Great competitive tennis!

Child Protection

Safeguarding or Child Protection

The term child protection has been expanded to safeguarding as it reflects the wider responsibility for health and safety and prevention as well as just protection from abuse. The word safeguarding has been used with increasing frequency over the last few years in a wide range of settings and situations, going well beyond the world of children and child protection. It may be defined as “Doing everything possible to minimise the risk of harm to children and young people.”

Safeguarding is about being proactive and putting measures in place in advance of any contact with children to ensure that children are going to be kept safe and this is what Tennis Ireland wish to have in place.
